Susan Hayward RAD RTS, Co-Director - a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and an affiliate of the American Academy of Ballet. Susan was the winner of many national competitions in dance in Great Britain. She has been teaching, choreographing, and entering children for RAD examinations for over 40 years. She has produced many full-length ballets on the coastside, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, The Tales of Beatrix Potter, La Fille mal Gardee, The Nutcracker, Aliceís Adventures in Wonderland, Iíll Tell You a Story, and The Enchanted Crystal Ball.
Sade Warner, ARAD Ballet Teacher- has over 10 years of teaching experience, holds a Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 2 (professional level) certificate and is a recipient of the Grade 8 Award with Distinction. She began dance classes at SHSD at age three. During her teen years she was a SHSD teaching assistant. While earning a BA in Dance and Television Video Production at San Francisco State University, she continued to teach at SHSD. She has danced professional at the San Jose Opera, Danse Libre and Oceanica Ballet.
Robert Lowman, ARAD Ballet Teacher - holds a Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 2 with Distinction certificate. He began his dance training at SHSD at the age of 5, taking classes in ballet and tap. After SHSD, Robert continued his interest in dance at the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts. Robert has danced in works by Gregory Amato, Katie Faulkner, Carlos Carvajal and many others. As a member of Peninsula Ballet, he performed principle roles in Giselle and The Nutcracker, and was the artistic director from 2018-2020. Currently, Robert is Co-Artistic Director at Oceanica Ballet.
